- A full clean driving licence would be an advantage as this role does involve travelling
- Ensure client’s privacy and dignity are always respected when assisting with personal care
- Assist with washing including bathing, showering and strip washing
- Change pads, ensuring the area is properly clean/cleansed before applying a new one
- Assist/Supervise with dressing and undressing
- You have a responsibility to ensure medication is prompted and taken and when taken, please note in the communication booklet
- Assist with grooming, brushing hair, shaving, brushing teeth, etc.
- Ensure the commode is emptied and cleaned
- Ensure the catheter bag is emptied and changed as specified in the care plan
- Ensure bed linen is changed and the bed is neatly spread
- Prepare meals of choice including microwave meals, meals on wheels and oven-cooked meals (you may be required to cook some light meals)
- Assist with washing, drying and putting away dishes
- Assist with light household duties
- Ensure laundry is washed, dried and neatly folded and put away; if specified in the care plan
- Assist with shopping
- Ensure you receive a clear receipt for all transactions, attached to the financial transaction sheet and complete the form
- Escort to appointments or activities if applicable to the service user care plan
- Working as part of a supportive team
- 45p per mile when using your own vehicle to support individuals and travel from call to call paid monthly
- A full induction package plus ongoing CPD updates and will register staff for QCF qualifications.
