WHAT WILL BE LEARNT
Apprentices will learn about the importance of delivering person-centred care, safeguarding, treating people with respect and dignity, and promoting the health and wellbeing of those they work with. The apprenticeship will help to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the worker, including:

The Adult Care Worker Level 2 apprenticeship is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to support adults with care and support needs. The role involves helping Individuals achieve their personal goals, promoting independence, and ensuring safety.
Apprenticeship assessment will include the completion of a situational judgement test, answered through a multiple-choice exercise, and a professional discussion.
Both assessments can be completed online or in-person. In addition, the apprentices must complete the Care Certificate and the Diploma. These components will be graded with a Pass, Merit, or Distinction

The apprentice must be at least 16 years old, have a valid DBS check and be employed in the care sector.
Duration:
12 months with up to three months for apprenticeship assessment.
Cost:
£4,000, funded via the employer Levy Account, Levy transfers or Department for Education co-funding
