No. There are many beliefs that you can only do an apprenticeship if you are aged 16-18; however, this is not the case. Apprenticeships can be completed at any age from 16.
The length of an apprenticeship can vary depending on prior skills and qualifications you hold, as well as what level of apprenticeship you’re undertaking! On average, most apprenticeships take between 12 – 18 months to complete.
While working in your apprenticeship, you are entitled to at least the National Minimum Wage for apprentices. Many of our employers pay more than the National Minimum Wage rate; however, you can find out more about the National Minimum Wage rates for apprentices and also holiday entitlement as well as additional help and guidance on the official Government website.
No, you do not pay for an apprenticeship; the employer and government cover training costs.
No, there is no need to formally attend college with any of our apprenticeship qualifications. All learning is done in the workplace and through unit work with your dedicated coach.

A large majority of our apprentices do stay on with the same employer, and while there’s no guarantee you’ll be kept on by them, apprentices often go on to work their way up the corporate ladder with further training and promotions.
It is a requirement that all apprentices undertake a set amount of off-the-job training during their course. Off-the-job training is defined simply as any training and learning that is undertaken outside of the normal daily routine that helps support the apprentice in their role.
